When the brake pedal is released, the system swiftly activates the brakes automatically to prevent the car from backing down. And when the driver has stepped on the gas pedal the system will automatically release the brake. Usually the maximum interval given by the HSA system to activate the brakes automatically is around 2-3 seconds.
