AutoCatch | Automotive Reviews - Daihatsu officially launched the All New Daihatsu Terios at the end of November 2017. This new model replaces the previous model which is more or less 11 years old. How is the change from the new Terios?
Daihatsu All New Terios 2019 has truly changed with all its fundamental performance improvements. Daihatsu Terios now appear with a design that is far different from the previous generation but still maintains the concept of a versatile SUV with a capacity of 7 passengers. But the changes experienced by the Daihatsu Terios actually make it no longer look like a compact SUV, but rather like an elevated MPV using 17-inch alloy wheels. Apart from all that, the design carried by the All New Daihatsu Terios is quite manly, more futuristic and good looking.

There are many features possessed by this car both in terms of exterior features, interior features and safety features. Here are some pampering features offered by the All New Daihatsu Terios 2019:
1. Hill-Start Assist (HSA)
Hill-Start Assist (HSA) or some call it Hill-Start Assist Control (HSC) is a safety feature on the braking system that can make it easier for you when you're in a traffic jam. The way it works is to prevent or hold the car backward just after the brake pedal is released. The HSA system will work for 2-3 seconds to give the driver the opportunity to move the foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal without having to worry about the car going backwards. This feature is certainly very helpful especially for novice drivers when jammed incline. With the HSA feature, when the car stops uphill and will continue the journey, the car will be held for a few moments so that it does not back down when accelerating.

2. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is one of the very important safety features because it can detect and prevent slipping of the car while driving. This feature has proven to be very effective in reducing the risk of fatal accidents from single accidents and fatal crashes. So that in some countries in the world have required this feature to be embedded in every car. The main function of the VSC is to prevent the car from tipping over when it loses stability, and to help maximize vehicle stability, especially when maneuvering around corners in slippery road conditions. The workings of the VSC system are when the system captures the potential for Roll Over, for example when the driver is cornering at high speed or when the steering wheel is slammed too rough, the system will automatically activate the brakes and adjust the accelerator openings as needed to help maintain the stability control of the car.

3. Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is a braking system on the car to prevent wheel locking when the driver brakes suddenly or presses the brake pedal too hard. On vehicles without ABS, when hard braking occurs all wheels will be locked while the car is still driving. This makes the vehicle lose control so it is prone to the risk of fatal slip. ABS braking really helps reduce the possibility of slipping, making it safer when making sudden braking on slippery roads.
4. Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD)
This feature is only found in cars that have used the ABS feature. This is because EBD uses the same physical components as ABS. But not all cars that use ABS feature have this feature. The main function of this EBD feature is to regulate brake fluid pressure on each wheel, depending on the grip of the wheel against the road surface. The EBD feature will be very useful when the vehicle is on winding roads. Because when the vehicle is driving while cornering, the grip on each wheel becomes unequal. EBD will provide maximum braking performance with traction on each wheel.
5. Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
This feature will automatically activate the hazard light signal when braking suddenly. The aim is none other than to give a warning to the driver behind to have readiness so that he is alert in behaving because the car in front of him is experiencing an emergency condition due to sudden braking. And the hazard signal will stop flashing when the car goes forward again.
6. Immobilizer & Alarm
Immobilizer is a security system for car keys where the car only allows the original key to start the engine. This system is an electronic encryption system consisting of transponder chip components embedded in car keys. So that the car will be more secure from the danger of theft.
7. Remote Key
New key designs follow current trends.
