So with the presence of this new option, now Daihatsu Xenia has 10 variants, namely Xenia 1.3X (AT / MT), Xenia 1.3X Deluxe (AT / MT), Xenia 1.3R (AT / MT), Xenia 1.3R Deluxe (AT / MT ) and the latest is the Xenia 1.5R Deluxe (AT / MT) variant.

All Daihatsu Xenia variants have the same dimensions and wheelbase. What distinguishes each variant is the features and accessories pinned on the car, and of course the different engines for the 1.3 series (1300 cc) and 1.5 series (1500 cc) variants.

EXTERIOR

When viewed from the exterior, of course there seems to be a little refresher on the design. Indeed the changes experienced are not significant, but at least it can slightly treat the boredom of the old design of this car. Daihatsu New Xenia 2019 now features a pretty charming lamp design. Both the headlights and taillights now have multilevel designs. Of course this is the most fundamental change compared to the previous version. Daihatsu New Xenia 2019 now presents with a new variant of 1500 cc engine, but stopped production for the 1000 cc variant. Thus from the side of the engine, Xenia 2019 now has 2 variants, namely the type of 1300 cc and 1500 cc engine. For the 1300 cc variant, use the engine type of 1-NR VE DOHC Dual VVT-i, 4 cylinder, 16 valve. This engine is capable of providing power of 97 PS at 6000 rpm, and maximum torque of 12.3 Kgm at 4200 rpm. While for the 1500 cc variant, use the engine type of 2-NR VE DOHC Dual VVT-i, 4 cylinder, 16 valve. This engine is capable of providing power of 104 PS at 6000 rpm or 7 PS larger than the 1300 cc variant. While the maximum torque that can be achieved is 13.9 Kgm at 4200 rpm.

From the transmission side, this car still applies the 4-speed Automatic and 5-speed Manual systems as used in the previous series. And from the drive system it still uses the rear wheel drive. But one other advantage of this car is that has a relatively small turning radius, which is only about 4.7 m.

Acceleration, Top Speed, & Fuel Consumption

Data measurement on this matter certainly can give different results adjusting road conditions, road flatness, number of passengers and rhythm between the footing of the accelerator pedal and gear shifting. But at least this can be used as an approximate reference that is close to accurate, because measurements are made on the ideal road conditions and driving mode.

The first is about acceleration, which is from a stop state to reaching speeds of 100 km / hr. Xenia 1300cc series can reach speeds from 0-100 km / h in 13 seconds. While for the 1500cc Xenia variants can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 11.9 seconds. In terms of acceleration there is a pretty decent difference from these 2 variants.

The second is about the top speed or maximum speed of the Daihatsu New Xenia. We have obtained data about this top speed car from several trusted sources. For the 1300 cc xenia series, the maximum speed that can be achieved is around 165 km / hour. Whereas for the 1500 cc xenia series it can reach a maximum speed of up to 170 km / hr. In terms of top speed, the two variants can be said to have a maximum speed that is almost the same (only thin difference).

The third is about fuel consumption for trips in the city, outside the city / toll road or combination routes. Here we assume that the automatic and manual types only have a thin difference, so we do rounding. For xenia 1300 cc, routes in the city are around 1:11, routes outside the city are 1:15, combinations  route are around 1: 13,5. Whereas for xenia 1500 cc, routes in the city are around 1:10, routes outside the city are around 1:14, and combinations route around 1:13. The results of this measurement can vary because there are so many factors that affect the fuel consumption of a vehicle. Especially on combination routes because it really depends on which route is more dominant.
